On Monday January 27th, EYCC held a Town Hall meeting to address the ongoing closure and give some details on our exploration of taking on a larger role in the operation of the building.

 The EYCC January Newsletter has been released! Included is a short survey about a possible extension to the season, and some frequently asked questions about the current closure.

- The elevator is out of service. The City is aware, but has not given a date to be back in service.

- The WiFi has been upgraded throughout the club and is also available downstairs. If you need it, the connection information is posted at the bar.

- The Saturday Scramble league is still accepting new members.If you're interested, speak to the Office Staff.

- The EYCC Advocacy Committee wants you to know a few interesting facts about the club how EYCC and the City work together. Find these facts on the tables and stay tuned for more information coming soon.

- The Board will be reviewing the club’s Code of Conduct Complaints Review Process in the coming months. The current process can be found on the website under ‘About Us’. Speak to a Board member or the Office if you would like to share any feedback.

- Please continue to report the ice conditions after each game. This information is helpful as the City ice staff continues to make adjustments. The QR code to access the form is on your tables.

- The proposed 2024-2025 budget was approved at the November Board meeting. The budget can be found in the Members Area of the website under Quick Links > Board Meetings.

- A new committee was struck to find ways the club can advocate for proposed changes to our relationship with the City. The committee will develop and execute a plan which may include a letter-writing campaign, petition or other form of communication to the City and our local Councillors. If you are interested in joining or assisting the committee, contact the office, or any Board member. 

- The club is aware issues with the ice, and the increased frequency of slips and falls. The City has also been notified and is investigating potential causes and solutions. To help with this effort, we ask that members continue to report all falls to the office or bar. We also ask that after every game, one player from each team answer a few short questions about the ice conditions during the game. This information will be used to help identify patterns and to provide constructive feedback to the City. Scan the QR code on the table to access the feedback form.  

- The Club will be looking at holding additional player development clinics later in the season. More information will be sent out by email in the new year.
